ST. LOUIS LIGHT RAIL
Lambert East

The western terminal for the original line was briefly at North Hanley, two stations in from Lambert Main.  Service to the airport did not start until 1994, about a year after the line's opening further east.  Complex construction issues and matters to resolve relocation of graves from a nearby cemetery caused the delay.

In this photo from inside an Illinois-bound train, our run is just about to end its single-track stretch, and Lambert East is just ahead.  That stop was added in 1998.    Passengers who have arrived on Southwest Airlines are waiting on the platform.
