The weather was quite splendid at the time of this
scene in springtime, 2004. A two-car train had transacted some
meager business at Memorial Hospital station in Belleville, and was heading for East
St. Louis and Missouri.
These several pages until now in the series have skipped around over
some of the
various landscapes along MetroLink. The series
continues with a more leisurely and focused view of the branches,
starting with the Red Line, generally
northwest to southeast, and then provides a few photos along the much
newer Blue Line. |
