Soon after reaching the last station outbound, at PSU
Urban Center/SW 5th & Mill, a check is made to assure that all passengers
have cleared from each train. Destination signs are changed to read either "NO SERVICE" or "NOT IN SERVICE," depending on
the model involved. Runs then go down some few further blocks along SW
5th to access the three-track turnaround area.
Street surfaces were wet, and autumn was surely in evidence at the time of this view.
The drinking fountain with water perpetually flowing is a thing common to
many Portland locations in and near downtown, and also in some other older parts of the city. |
