There are various craft and antique shops and restaurant
and entertainment venues near the Skidmore Fountain area. Pedestrian
traffic is often substantial along the transit route,
particularly so when the Portland Saturday Market is in session.
Crossing the tracks is done
oftentimes in what seems to be a rather casual manner. MAX speeds are
