NEW ORLEANS STREETCAR
Curving Off

The pillar and statue in the background date back to the century before the last one, and are a tribute to Robert E. Lee.  The roadway surrounding the monument is Lee Circle, around most of which the St. Charles Streetcar runs.  In this view inbound car #962 has left its portion of the circle, and is just turning from its brief run along the neutral ground of Howard Ave.  Once the turn is completed onto Carondelet, it is street running for the remainder of its route to Canal St.
