The Red and Purple Line subway cars were built by
Breda, a company of Italian ownership, now part of AnsaldoBreda.
Its products, which include heavy rail vehicles and light rail and streetcars, are
used in at least five other U.S. cities.  The newest cars on LA
Metro's Gold Line come from that manufacturer.

This view is outdoors at the Main Shops and Yard.  Units are parked
on four parallel tracks close to the servicing facility on a hot
		Saturday morning. |
