This view shows a different and more garish color combination than was seen in the line's original paint schemes.  The northbound car is crossing eastbound MAX at SW 10th Ave. and SW Yamhill St. in downtown. 

Representatives from other cities visited Portland early on in the line's operation to view this revived concept in urban transportation.  Not all too long after, in transit-planning time, a second city, Tacoma, opened a short line with cars from this manufacturer.  Seattle started a route with similar units late in 2007.
