The streetcar in this view had just recently
turned off Canal St. to begin its run toward City Park/Museum. The power
pole had become disengaged from the wire as it negotiated through this area,
and the vehicle came to a halt blocking outbound street traffic
on Canal. The operator seemed entirely familiar with the chain
of events, and opened both doors while she followed procedures to
reseat the apparatus. |
