LOS ANGELES METRO LIGHT RAIL
Training Poles and Patriotic Hall

By the summer of 2009, structures and poles, behind a tall fence, for the Los Angeles Trade-Technical College Lineman Power Pole Training Yard had been constructed on the northeast corner of Washington Blvd. and Flower St.  It provides what is potentially an enigmatic view from the windows of the long Blue Line trains curving toward downtown.

The old building to the left is the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall, operated by the County of Los Angeles, and dating to the mid-1920s.  It was undergoing major renovation at the time of this photo.
