Outside at Hollywood/Highland there is much pedestrian
activity, as evidenced in this busy scene. The distinctive "M" Metro signs
prominently display where to find the subway, and similar signs also
lead to light rail
routes.
Metro is exploring options, after decades of enforced inaction, to
expand the system westward to Santa Monica. Extensions to both the Red Line
from this Hollywood area, and from the Purple Line in the Wilshire Corridor, are being
