BALTIMORE HEAVY RAIL
End of the Line, Northwest

A train waits at the last stop at Owings Mills to begin a journey back into the city in this scene.  Baltimore's line began running its initial segment in 1983.  Transit America provided two series of transit cars to the route during the first few years of operation.

The inner part of the Metro Subway is underground.  In downtown Baltimore the area's street-running light rail line, also operated by MTA, crosses over the subway, without any particular attention or transfer arrangements.
