| A blue chair has been dumped in what was once a busy
zone near downtown, Toledo, Ohio.
This area went from being a major warehouse and transportation district to
abandonment and ruins, then to demolition -- an awaiting of future urban
use. During its abandoned phase I wrote
"Parts to this zone of commerce bypassed and mute
Where trees sprout on doorsteps, bowlegged railspurs
End as thistles." |
